I think it's quite common for university towns to hate the students who are the lifeblood of the community. Dr. X got his PhD at Indiana University in Bloomington more than 30 years ago and the townspeople were very unpleasant to us. They did not appreciate the business we brought to the town. It's really ridiculous. I recommend you get rid of the verify the words. It's difficult to see. You might get more comments without it. I know a number of bloggers who won't read blogs with word verification.
